From high school football to an NIT Final Four, I have been broadcasting as a play-by-play announcer since 2017.

“When you close your eyes and listen to his call, every sentence has just the right pitch, rhythm, tempo, volume and articulation. You can tell he is passionate about his craft.”

Joey Roberts (12 years, ESPN Studio and Remote Production)

In addition to play-by-play, I’ve produced and anchored radio newscasts and election coverage, reported on the weather, created videos, and written and copyedited articles. I am currently training on how to use the NCAA Live Stats program for basketball, volleyball, and soccer.

PLAY-BY-PLAY WORK

As of October 2024, I have called over 380 games as a play-by-play announcer. I have called football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and soccer and am always open to learning new sports. My experience includes all three divisions of NCAA competition, as well as high school football, summer collegiate baseball, a TBL team (The Basketbal League), and an NAIA school. For postseason competition, I partnered with Trevecca in 2024 to help call three of the games at the NCAA D-II softball Midwest Region 2, partnered with Grand View University in 2023 for pool-play games at the NAIA men’s volleyball national tournament, and have called multiple tournaments for the Gulf South Conference. While calling games for the online student radio station at Lipscomb University, I got to sit courtside at Madison Square Garden and call the Bisons’ games against Wichita State and Texas in the NIT Final Four in 2019.

I currently reside in the greater Nashville area. My sports work is all part-time freelancing – my other job is waiting tables at a restaurant. I also work with The Scorer’s Table as a public address announcer at various schools in the area and am in the process of learning how to input statistics using the NCAA Live Stats program. I am open to full-time opportunities and am willing to relocate. I am willing to help as a freelancer outside of Nashville, provided that the school/team is within reasonable driving distance and/or will help with travel costs.

I’d love to meet you.
